A motorcyclist has been heavily fined after a dangerous tailgating incident on an autoroute.
The 28-year-old rider was caught on the A1 near Wallisellen in July, following a car at just five to eight meters while traveling at 80 kilometers an hour, or over half a kilometre.
Prosecutors say the maneuver put both himself and others at risk.
The rider has now been handed a fine totaling CHF 7,400.
His probation from a previous offence has also been extended by two years.
