Switzerland is about to swap late-summer for autumn almost overnight
A cold front will sweep in from this evening, ending the current anticyclone, according to MeteoSwiss.
Tuesday will still get above 30 degrees, but from Wednesday morning temperatures will fall by around 10 degrees within hours, bringing heavy rain, strong gusts and thunderstorms — particularly in Valais.
The rest of the week stays dry and sunny, but daytime highs will not climb above 23 degrees before Saturday.
Nights will drop close to 10 degrees, ending the wave of late-summer warmth that began September.
