Bad weather hits grape harvest

There’ll be less Geneva wine this year as the grape harvest in the canton was down 10% on the 2020 level.

Farmers are blaming the wet summer.

In total 9,500 tonnes of grapes were produced last year, down 10%, almost equally spilt between red and white.

The most predominate varieties produced in the region are Gamay and Chasselas.
