Army to boost drone training

The army is ramping up its drone capabilities, saying modern warfare has changed dramatically.

Recruits will soon be trained to pilot reconnaissance drones, while the military also tests explosive  “kamikaze” drones already used in Ukraine. 

Parliament is being asked for 70 million francs to expand drone and anti-drone systems, with Switzerland’s first operational anti-drone defense set for deployment at next month’s G7 summit in Evian.
