Residents in an apartment block in canton Aargau were forced to flee in the early hours of Sunday morning as explosives were found in a barber’s shop at the base of the building.
Around 40 people found themselves on the streets in the town of Strengelbach as police and sniffer dogs searched.
Police say the explosives were found after they arrested four on suspicion of burglary. Police say they believe the burglaries and the explosives are linked.
The residents were able to go back home at 9am yesterday. Many spent the night in a local gym.
Investigations with the cantonal and federal police are ongoing.
