Train passengers are angry at the French operators, the SNCF, after the newly opened Annemasse station suffered a series of floods during the recent wet period.

The operator explains that the water tables have risen to record levels meaning platforms have flooded.

The rain also damaged escalators and meant water flowed in through ventilator grills.

Repair work is now underway.
