A section of the A12 autoroute running between Vevey and Châtel-St-Denis was closed over night following a multicar pile up, caused by the snow.
Vaud police say eight vehicles were involved.
The road was closed in both directions at around 9.30 last night while the crash was cleared up. It was reopened at 1.30am.
