20 year old faces attempted murder charge over cell phone dispute

A 20-year old man is currently facing trial for attempted murder for stabbing two social workers in the youth centre where he lived - after a dispute about his cell phone.

According to prosecutors, the man’s phone had been confiscated at the Brüttisellen Country Home and the man took two steak knives to the staff office to try to get his property back.

When the first social worker refused, prosecutors say he attacked her and continued to cut her face when she fell to the floor. When a second social worker rushed over to help, he allegedly did the same to her, allowing the first to escape. A third social worker struck him on the back with a heavy object, and then they restrained him.

The first two social workers have facial scarring.

The alleged incident took place in February of last year.

The man now faces charges of attempted murder.
