Customs officers have seized 14 kilos of cocaine during a vehicle inspection in canton Basel-Country.
The drugs were discovered hidden inside the rear bumper of a car with German licence plates stopped at the Pratteln autoroute service station.
Officers decided to carry out a more detailed search after questioning the 39 year old driver.
The narcotics were seized and the suspect handed over to police, where he remains in custody.
