Zurich is reporting a measles outbreak.
There’s been 21 cases since the beginning of the year – twice as many as this time last year.
Infections are being managed by authorities – harking back to the covid years – track and trace is being used to find others who may have been exposed.
In many cases. They’ve been offered a vaccine, which could be effective if it’s administered within 72 hours of exposure.
But the Cantonal Health Department isn’t expecting a widespread outbreak as it points out, 97% of people have been vaccinated.
