A woman has died from her injuries after a sledging accident in Verbier over the weekend.
The 33-year-old was on the slopes just before midnight on Saturday. Her sledge rammed full speed into a snow groomer.
She was taken to Sion Hospital, but she died of her injuries two days later.
Valais police say those on sledges should keep to the dedicated runs and point out around 7,000 people are inured sledging every year in the country.
