An internal email to World Health Organisation staff sent on Friday is confirming the worst for many.
Following the decision by the United States to end funding for the WHO - the agency says its budget has to be cut by a fifth, which will mean job losses.
Contributions from the US accounts for 16% of its USD 7.8bn annual costs.
The funding cuts comes when the organisation was already struggling and had started on a cost cutting regime.
