Warning of English over national languages

The head of Switzerland's Bilingualism Forum is warning that pushing French teaching out of primary school would put national cohesion at risk.

Virginie Borel spoke on RTS as a Federal Council draft law goes out for consultation, aiming to guarantee a second national language is taught at primary level. 

Six German-speaking cantons have already voted to delay French to secondary school, favouring English.
