Vaud's prosecutor has confirmed that a 75-year-old man whose body was found in France last autumn was killed at his tenant's home in Canton Vaud.
The body was discovered cut in two by the River Saône in the French commune of Fédry.
The suspect - a 39-year-old French woman who rented the flat - was arrested at the border in November and remains in pretrial detention.
She is also suspected of setting fire to her own home and to a building owned by the victim.
