Geneva is running out of blood and the Geneva University Hospital is appealing for blood donors.
The Blood Transfusion Center says donations have been lower than usual – but demand has been high.
The centre says it also expects collecting blood will be harder as the autumn holidays approach.
The most common blood types are urgently needed.
