Transport unions want to stop subsidy cut

Call to parliament to overturn decision.

Unions representing public transport companies across the country have sent in a petition signed by 6,000 of their members calling on parliament to stop government plans to slash subsidies for the sector.

The government wants to cut federal subsidies by CHF 92m.

Unions want parliament to stop the Federal Council’s plans, saying it will have a massive impact on services and worker conditions.
