Switzerland has lost the ice hockey world championship final to Finland in overtime, in front of 10,000 fans at Zurich's Swiss Life Arena last night.
Finland sealed a 1-0 win in the extra period, with Geneva-born forward Damien Riat hitting the post for Switzerland in what could have been the winning chance.
It is the Swiss team's third consecutive defeat in a world championship final. Captain Roman Josi was named the tournament's most valuable player, but the trophy heads back to Helsinki.
