Zurich-based insurer Swiss Life will cut around 600 jobs by the end of 2028, with half of them in Switzerland
The company employs 11,000 people worldwide and says it wants to boost efficiency, particularly through digitalisation, according to chief executive Matthias Aellig.
Around 100 posts have already gone through selective non-replacement, and most of the remaining cuts will come from natural turnover.
The announcement came alongside strong first-half results: net profit rose 8% to CHF 649 million, and the group launched a new CHF 250 million share buy-back programme.
Swiss Life has promised to support affected staff individually in finding new roles.
