Zurich is gearing up for Swiftmania. Taylor Swift is playing two nights next week at the Letzigrund Stadium.
It’s known that she and her entire entourage will be staying at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy in the centre of town – although the hotel management is not commenting.
The whole hotel is booked. It has 80 rooms, the cheapest are over CHF 1,000 a night. The presidential suit, where it is assumed Taylor will be staying, costs CHF 18,000 a night.
It’s unclear when exactly she’ll be arriving in Zurich. She’s playing on Saturday in Amsterdam and no rooms are available from Sunday night, so speculation is she’ll have a couple of nights R and R in Zurich.
She’ll be on stage Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

Switzerland relies too heavily on an American NGO to detect child sexual abuse online, raising questions about the country's ability to protect children on its own.
Summer has arrived, with temperatures climbing past 30 over the long weekend. Basel reached 31 and Sion hit 32.4, but MeteoSwiss, says this does not yet count as an official heatwave.
