Sophia Loren is recovering after falling in her Geneva home and breaking a hip.
The 89-year-old actress was injured on Sunday and had surgery yesterday.
In a statement issued through the restaurant she owns in Milan, she is now recovering and will have to have physiotherapy.
She’s been named by the American Film Institute as one of the greatest stars of the Classical Hollywood Era – and is the only living person on the institute’s top 50 list.
Ther last film she made was an Italian production ‘The Life Ahead’ in 2020.
