In Lausanne, 13 of the 22 patients seriously injured in the Crans-Montana tragedy have now been discharged from the Vaud University Hospital.
Others were urgently transferred abroad after the hospital’s burns unit exceeded its capacity.
The hospital says consent from families was required, but the priority was ensuring specialist care.
With help from hospitals in around twenty countries, all patients were placed within three days.
Most remain in serious condition, and their return to Switzerland is still uncertain due to a shortage of rehabilitation beds.
