The Salève cable car will reopen this morning, its director has confirmed, after a two-day shutdown triggered by travellers parking their caravans in its car park
Julien Le Gousse said his team is finalising a secured route so visitors can still reach the lift even with the caravans in place.
Members of the traveller community had already said they would leave the car park later today.
The reopening rescues the tail end of the summer season for the site, which is one of the most popular day trips out of Geneva.
