PLR election poster created by AI

An election poster for the Liberal Radical party has triggered a major debate about artificial intelligence.

The poster shows climate activists blocking a road, which includes an ambulance with blue lights flashing. But the scene never actually happened.

It comes with the slogan ‘innovate rather than block’.

The party says the poster was produced with the help of an AI program, but counters photo montages are common in election campaigns.

But the Young Socialist Party says the poster is designed to fuel hatred against climate activists.
