Canton Geneva has green lit a plan to build more than 100 km of new cycle lanes by 2030.
The lanes will centre around 12 major routes running through the urban centre.
The Grand Council says it will spend CHF 20m on a study before releasing a further CHF 130m for the construction.
It was backed by all parties, except the Swiss People’s Party and the Geneva Citizens Movement.
