Switzerland’s biggest open-air music festival, Paleo, gets underway today in Nyon in the canton of Vaud.
For the next six days and six nights, around 230,000 people will see acts including DJ Snake, Kiss, Sting, Stromae, Metronomy and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man.
The festival is spread over seven stages and 220 stalls.
Paleo began as a modest folk festival in 1976 and is now one of the major open-air music festivals in mainland Europe and the biggest in Switzerland, attracting artists from around the world.
The festival has been at its current location, the Plaine de l'Asse in Nyon, for more than 30 years.
