A new people’s initiative has been launched to allow people to grow cannabis.
Titled, ‘Cannabis legislation: opportunities for the economy, health and equality’.
It calls for anyone over the age of 18 could grow and possess cannabis for personal use. Commercial operators would need a licence.
Campaigners have until October next year to collect 100,000 signatures to force a national vote.
There are already projects underway that allow the controlled sale of cannabis.
