Music and food - summer is here

The summer music season kicks off today with the opening of the Caribana Festival.

It’s been running since 1989 on the lakeside at Crans.

The open-air event goes on until Saturday – tonight on stage is the Prodigy, Royal Republic and metal band Eastwood.

Tickets are still available on the website – Caribana.ch… but the more they sell, the higher the price.

Another sign of the summer starting – the Geneva Street Food Festival starts tomorrow.

Sixty food trucks will set up on the Plainpalais. Last year 100,000 people visited.

The trucks will open at 1130 every morning and go on till dusk during the week and full night fall at the weekends. It runs from the 5th to the 15th June.
