Mother and son charged with porn scam

A mother and son in Lucerne have been charged of scamming lonely men on dating sites, ripping off insurance companies, social security fraud and trading in stolen pornography.

The 70-year-old mother and her 33-year-old son financed a lavish lifestyle with luxury cars and high-end jewelry and watches.

Working together the pair fooled men on dating sites, the son pretending to be a young woman on WhatsApp and the mother offering fake marriages.

They also stole pornography from a Canadian site and sold it to other portals. Prosecutors say the scams raised hundreds of thousands of francs.

Lucerne prosecutors are calling for the pair to be jailed for three and a half years and fined.
