A primary school in Lignon had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon after teachers reported smelling gas with smoke coming from the kitchen.
Firefighters discovered a badly damaged iPad in a microwave.
How the device got there is unknown and an investigation is underway.
Two fire engines and 15 firefighters were sent to the school. They warned it’s dangerous to put electronic devices in a microwave.
The school reopened later in the afternoon.
