Demonstrations to mark International Women’s Day took place yesterday right around the country.
Demands varied from fighting the increase of the retirement age for women, better work opportunities for migrant women and pension equality.
Unions say 11% of women have pensions so low they need extra benefits.
There are also calls for better childcare facilities to allow more women to work.
A campaign by Amnesty International highlights the problem of sexual violence against women.
Marches were held in Bern, Zurich, Geneva, Lausanne and elsewhere.
