On the face of it, the new policy at the former drug centre in Lausanne is working, but some fear drug taking has been pushed further underground - and therefore more dangerous – or it’s simply the cold weather.

But now two police officers are on constant duty, supported by private security.
The users have left and shop keepers say they feel safer – but social workers say drug use is now going on in more dangerous places and others say it’s empty because it’s now cold.
