Iran/US deal set to be signed in Geneva

A major diplomatic breakthrough appears to have been reached in the Middle East, and a deal will be signed in Switzerland.

Pakistan says the United States and Iran have agreed to a peace deal to end the conflict, with the agreement due to be formally signed in Geneva on Friday.

President Donald Trump later confirmed the deal was finalized and announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the immediate lifting of the U.S. naval blockade.

Financial markets reacted positively, with oil prices falling around four percent and Asian stock markets rising on hopes of improved regional stability.
