Switzerland is moving to electrify trucks.
The Federal Roads Office has launched a call for projects to install fast-charging stations for electric trucks along major roads.
The initiative, part of the Electric Mobility 2030 roadmap, will see operators plan, finance, and run the stations, while the federal office covers the cost of connections to the transformer.
Three lots, each with around ten spaces at rest areas and traffic control centers, are up for bid, with applications open until the end of April.
