Gov Newsom will be in Davos

The World Economic Forum’s meeting in Davos is underway, and it’s expected Donald Trump’s threat to takeover Greenland will be dominating the agenda – but a major Trump critic will also be in town.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to respond today. China, meanwhile, will present itself as a calm, predictable alternative partner. 

Canada has already shifted course. 

But later this week, California governor and Trump critic Gavin Newsom is set to escalate the confrontation.

Newsom will be in Davos where he’s expected to be thorn in Trump’s side. He says Trump’s policy is not ‘America First – but Trump first.
