Members of the Ukrainian diaspora gathered on the pont du Mont Blanc yesterday evening to protest the war.
Around 50 lined the bridge with flags and signs. Many have family and friends in the country. Several passing cars showed their support by shouting and honking, inciting cheers from the protestors.
There were calls for tough sanctions against Russia and many expressed concerns that Ukraine may only be the first and Putin wants to continue into the former eastern bloc countries, such as Poland, Romania and the Baltic States.
