A man in Geneva is suspected of shooting his four-year-old son and then himself. The bodies were found at their home in Avully.
Neighbours believe the man may have been depressed and had a breakdown as he had been struggling since the death of his wife around a year ago. She died suddenly from a stroke.
The man was described as a loving father and the boy seemed happy. A friend – a local doctor – says he believes there was a dispute about the child’s custody with his in-law family. He says the man didn’t look well.
A full investigation is underway.
