The Geneva festival of lights kicks off today.
Mainly focussed around La Rade, the city will be illuminated by a series of 23 spectacular installations.
It’s the eighth edition of Geneva Lux and the length of time the event will be on has been been doubled from previous years. The lights will shine until the 6th February. Organisers say the show is on longer to reflect public demand.
Some of the best views will be possible this weekend as the Mouettes boats will run until 9pm instead of the usual 6.
