The French are denying press reports that a meeting between the French president, Emmanuel Macron and his Swiss counterpart, Guy Parmelin has been cancelled as the French are upset Switzerland is buying US fighter jets and not European.
The meeting was pencilled in for November.
But both sides say the meeting hadn’t been confirmed. The French say they signalled that November may be difficult over the summer.
The two men did meet in Tokyo for the opening of the Olympics.
