Several football clubs may have to pay back emergency government aid handed out during covid as an administrative error means they may have been paid twice as much as they were entitled to.
It could be as much as a million francs a club.
All the teams play professionally in either the Super League or the Challenge League and run amateur and junior programmes.
There’s no suggestion the clubs did anything wrong.
The Federal Office of Sport says they all filled out the paperwork correctly – but were handed double the money they should have got.
