A retiree in canton Vaud has turned the tables on two fake police officers who tried to scam him at home.
The pair claimed to be from the Yverdon-les-Bains station and had already conned a Lausanne resident out of CHF 10,000.- just two days earlier.
This time the pensioner played along and alerted the real police, who arrested both suspects after a car chase.
It is the latest case in a scam wave repeatedly targeting the elderly.
Police continue to urge anyone contacted by a supposed officer to hang up and dial 117.
