Swiss striker Breel Embolo has been granted a US visa and will join the World Cup squad in California on Friday evening.
The forward had missed Tuesday's team flight to Los Angeles after his automated travel authorisation was revoked, linked to a 2018 court case over verbal threats in Basel.
He filed an emergency visa application at the US embassy in Bern on Wednesday, which was approved within 48 hours.
Embolo is now expected in San Diego in time for Saturday's final friendly against Australia.
Switzerland will open their World Cup campaign against Qatar in San Francisco on 13 June.
