An elderly woman has died in a house fire in Plan-les Ouates.
The fire broke out on Friday evening. The Geneva Fire and Rescue Service says it arrived on the scene 11 minutes after it was called, but the blaze was already well established.
The 97-year-old was found unconscious. Attempts were made to resuscitate her on the street but she died shortly later.
