Switzerland's June heatwave is being blamed for around 200 additional deaths among people over 65, according to new federal figures.
During the 13-day hot spell, mortality among older people was 15 percent higher than expected.
As another week of extreme temperatures grips Europe, climatologist Martine Rebetez from the University of Neuchâtel warns heatwaves will become more frequent, longer and more intense.
