Around 250 litres of diesel leaked from a truck’s damaged fuel tank and nearly made it into Lake Constance.
The fuel came from a tanker yesterday afternoon in Sankt Gallen and flowed in to the storm drains.
Fire crews installed a water barrier near the river’s entry point into Lake Constance.
The river and lake is still being watched for an environmental damage.
