The investigation into the deadly Crans-Montana bar fire has taken a sharp new turn.
A lawyer for one of the victims has filed criminal complaints in Switzerland and France against the accountant of the bar's owners.
The accusations include illegal arms trafficking, unauthorised mercenary services in Africa and money laundering, allegedly involving collaboration with a suspected war criminal. The accountant rejects all charges and insists his activities have always been lawful.
The 1 January fire at the Constellation bar killed 41 people and injured more than 115.
