Covid vaccinations will remain free next year. The Federal Council says vaccination remains the main weapon in the fight against the infection.

Anyone who has Swiss health insurance - including frontaliers - will be eligible.

The government will also continue to sell unused stock to other countries. A maximum of 13 million doses can be sold in 2023. Switzerland has also donated 15 million doses through the COVAX initiative.

There's a new covid wave underway at the moment – but hospitalizations are stable.

In Geneva, the University Hospital is no longer offering vaccines to those who turn up – everyone needs to have an appointment.
