Cook from Vaud goes global

A 31-year-old Vaudois cook is finding a global audience for a very local idea — low-calorie versions of classic comfort food

Bastien Horisberger, known online as "Swiss Fit Cook", has crossed 800,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.

From the hamlet of Vers-chez-les-Blanc, in the hills above Lausanne, he reworks smash burgers, shawarma, ribs and tiramisu into lighter versions that keep the flavour.

The pitch is simple: enjoy generous food without the calorie count.
