After last week’s corona riots outside the Federal Palace in Bern, the city wants to make sure any further demonstrations have to be planned and registered by the police ahead of time.
Some city officials feared the parliament building was about to be stormed by the crowd.
The city council has told the police not to allow any further rallies this week and it wants to create channels for dialogue between protestors and the police to allow for the right of expression to be exercised properly.
