Switzerland has marked the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Over the next few days there will be major celebrations in the UK – and across the world to celebrate her 70 years on the throne.

To highlight the close relationship between Switzerland and the UK – which goes back years - the Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter has lit up the Bernese Oberland with the Union Flag, an image of the crown and a large number 70.

The scale of the project has been submitted to the Guinness Book of Records.
