Bern police stop weekend sceptic march

Police in the City of Bern had clearly had enough of large-scale unauthorized corona sceptic marches.

There have been marches almost every weekend in cities around the country – the police normally take a low profile, citing proportionality.

But a planned march on Saturday with possibly as many as 50,000 protestors was too much – and the police took pre-emptive action by sealing off the centre of town around the Federal Palace.

Protestors decided to take the action elsewhere and tried to regroup in canton Appenzell. But due to confusion about the exact meeting location – only about 500 turned up.
